Sangath Intramural Grants

Building Internal Capacity and Fostering Leadership

The Sangath Intramural Grants Program (IMGs) is an internal funding initiative that empowers Sangath staffs and researchers to transform promising ideas into impactful community-focused initiatives. Designed primarily for early-career professionals, the program provides an opportunity to conceptualise, lead, implement, and manage projects that address real-world mental health challenges while building essential leadership and grant management skills.

The IMGs program aims to:

  • Support innovative, community-focused initiatives that improve mental health and wellbeing.

  • Build leadership among Sangath's early-career professionals.

  • Foster interdisciplinary collaboration across teams

  • Encourage development of practical resources, training programs, campaigns and implementation models.

  • Strengthen staff capacity in grant writing, budgeting, project implementation and dissemination.

  • Generate ideas that can be scaled through future external funding.
