Sangath Institutional Review Board is registered with the National Ethics Committee Registry for Biomedical and Health Research (NECRBHR), Department of Health Research (DHR), Government of India (GoI), with the registration number EC/NEW/INST/2025/GA/0670.

The IRB is also registered with the Office for Human Research Protections (OHRP) (IORG0002715) and Federal Wide Assurance (FWA) (FWA00004350) under the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), USA.

The Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) aim to define the procedures that the IRB will follow to ensure quality, consistency, and transparency in the ethics review and approval of research proposals, and the monitoring of ongoing research at Sangath.
