Dr. Azaz Khan is a psychologist with a Ph.D. and over 17 years of experience spanning psychometric tool development, psychological intervention design, and global mental health implementation research. He specializes in the design, development, and evaluation of evidence-based, low-intensity psychosocial interventions aimed at treating mental health disorders and promoting well-being.

Dr. Khan has led the digital adaptation of several evidence-based interventions, tailoring them to the unique context of Madhya Pradesh. He played a key role in the conceptualization, implementation, and scale-up of the “ManKaksh” model in the state. He has authored 35 peer-reviewed international publications, trained more than 3,000 public healthcare providers in mental health care, and delivered psychotherapeutic services to over 1,000 individuals with mental health conditions.

Currently, Dr. Khan serves as the Director of Training and Interventions at Sangath’s Bhopal Hub. In this role, he co-leads multiple national and international research projects, including OptimiseD, AANAND, MENTOR, and MANTHAN.
