Niharika Tiwari is a rising senior at the University of Michigan studying Global and Environment Health and Biochemistry. She hopes to pursue a career in global public health and medicine with a focus on health equity and community-based interventions. Niharika is interested in learning more about global mental health and how resources and treatments can be provided to low-resource settings through innovative methods such as lay counsellors and technology. She previously worked on a bioethics research project as a Neonatal/Prenatal research assistant at C.S Mott Children’s Hospital and hopes to continue in the research field. Niharika is excited to join Sangath this summer and learn more about their innovative process of providing greater access to health care for the community.
