Devika Gupta is a graduate student of Sustainable Development with a background in Psychology. She is deeply passionate about mental health, and enjoys the intellectual and emotional challenges of working in this field. She will intern at Sangath (Goa )for six months with the Addictions Research Group where she will help develop a mHealth intervention for hazardous drinkers in Goa.
Prior to this, she worked with the PRIDE-Public Engagement team at Sangath’s Delhi office, where she developed mental health workshops for college students in Delhi NCR. She is also a Mentor for the Youth Advocates Group run by the same team. Her first foray into mental health was a Peer Support Program that she designed and set up at Lady Shri Ram College for Women, University of Delhi, which is now in its 4th year. She is inspired by the rigor and dedication of the researchers in Sangath, and eager to scale the steep learning curve!
